We stop at Alphonso's every time we drive through Raton. Reasonably priced.. Carnitas tacos were great, with roasted jalapeno in the side.

Got gas!!! Shocking I know. Gas station was nice and clean. Burrito was enough to fill the empty hole in my stomach that was screaming for food. Nice easy place to pop off the highway get gas and a snack. Super easy to pop back on the highway and continue our journey!!!

Delicious! We stopped by and wanted something other than the typical burger joint travel food. It was a great alternative! I ordered #7 and it was hot (temperature not spice) all the way to the last bite! They had four different salsas to choose from as well. But what really made the experience was Francisco! He was behind the counter and was incredibly friendly, happy and personable. It was great to have a nice conversation and a friendly interaction to break up the drive.

The food was good, not great. The staff were polite enough. I'm vegan (not many places to stop along the highway for this, so I have to modify usually) and simply requested no cheese or sour cream on my rice/bean/veggie burrito and chips/guac. A simple thing, to not add cheese, but I had to have both items remade as they put cheese on. Not necessarily a horrible experience, but check your food before you leave.

I really am in awe!!! My food was amazing and the young man taking orders, customer service was excellent!! I'm very thankful my food was perfect.. Not everywhere or often do you get scrumptious food and great service in one!! Thank you, Alfonso's!!💪🏽😊

Great and delicious! Have the taco de lengua and the Carne Asada burrito. Guacamole was delicious and fresh. Giant burrito and great for the price! Lengua was sooo delicious, definitely a must try whether traveling through or local, don't miss out on this delicious food!

Seriously, this place is awesome! I know it's in a gas station but the food is phenomenal. I had the breakfast burrito and it was huge! The staff is super friendly too. If I ever come through again I'll make sure to stop here.

Amazing tasting fast food. Perfect for a quick stop while on the road. Big portions for the price and friendly staff. We will definitely stop here again!

Stopped because the reviews were highish. No AC, flies everywhere landing in the food, no lights, bathroom disgusting with "wipe" buckets for your tp. Service was quick. Portions big, served on styrofoam grocery store plates. Plastic silverware. Free refills. Prices steep, taste of food completely bland. Shredded beef not ground, halepenos in everything but not listed on menu. Not impressed, would not recommend, would never go back. A general feel of uncleanliness

A great little surprise! Stopped for gas and stayed for the food and glad I did. Tasty fresh food packed with flavor. Try the complimentary hot peppers if you dare. Note the jug of ice water right next to the peppers.

Good solid Mexican food in a very odd location. You might miss it if you are not looking for a gas station.

My husband is a truck driver and he stopped at this Mexican place due to good reviews online. He ordered 4 tacos only, no Soda and was charged $16.40. Those are some expensive Tacos, a lil bit over $4.00 per Taco !!! The price is so high for just 4 tacos and the tacos were cold.

Great stop for a burrito. Husband got the Cali and I had the Machaca breakfast and both were bursting with flavor! Quick, easy service. Will be back if the road brings us by here again 😄

This place has changed driving through Raton for me. It's not super cheap but the burritos are large and restorative for road tripping.

Great place and good atmosphere and great staff. The Red Chile is good but compared to New Mexico Chile it could definitely be a bit more spicy

O.K., keep in mind that it has been almost a year since I discovered this great spot, having tried a bean burro on our trip. I am from AZ. and this place has food just like I am used to. GREAT tasting refried beans, and I could swear the tortillas are made with lard as they should be. May be wrong, but have not found a better tasting tortilla outside of AZ except at this place. In Denver now, but it will be worth a 3 1/2 hr. drive to have more of this food. Love this place!! Sorry it took me so long to give you a 5 Star rating!! F.R.

They messed up my order a few times, decent food but not worth having to turn around and correct the order. Check your bags before driving off!! Make sure they got order right!

Stopped here with a friend who had been before - I got the "don't be worried about it being in a gas station talk" while we were on the way. The food was actually pretty good, but the prices seemed a little high for what you get and the portions seemed a little small. It was good, but I think I'd rather go to a "normal" Mexican restaurant in the future.

Convenient location with plenty of available parking shared with the other businesses nearby. Courteous service by wait staff. A clean and ample open table area for locals looking for traditional Guanajuato fare. Our group of six adults was promptly seated and served corn chips with hot sauce and bean dip. Each of the six different orders were sufficiently large that a takeaway box was requested. Each of the orders had good plate presentation (the minor exception was the special request for the vegan version burrito, it was it little too large for the plate.) Menu provides good variety incuding a special section for children. I would return when in Casper in the future. Note to restaurant, consider using a local fish in the fish tacos. It may allow your standard plate to include 3 tacos and still accommodate your cost structure.

Great Mexican food!!! I would definitely recommend it, I’ve been to so many Mexican restaurants but this place makes food taste like it’s homemade. The lady there was really nice and friendly. Will be coming back next time I’m in the area!!!

Authentic Mexican food in a gas station. The food was wonderful and the service was friendly.

Mini tacos are 100%. Salsas are spicy and delicious. Cucumbers, carrots, and jalapeños available too. Authentic as heck. If you’re looking for a pit stop for food, come here. Pinky promise you won’t be disappointed.

No prices...and when you are in a hurry driving cross country, you buy quick to get back on the road. Spent $25 for Very little food! Very upset they don't put prices. Screams SCAM! They say that they are updating the 'system' but if you look up the previous reviews you will see that they didn't have prices on their menu board 2 MONTHS ago! Even if you have to use a piece of paper and tape to show prices it's not that hard! What kind of business runs like this? It's not fair to the customers standing in line waiting if you have to ask how much for number 1-16 etc. Especially if you are ordering for more than one person and prices matter to that family.
